Famous Ashram in Rishikesh known as Parmarth Niketan Ashram is an ashram located in Rishikesh, Uttrakhand, India. It is particularly located in the lap of Himalayas, near the banks of river Ganga.
Pujya Swami Sukhdevanandji Maharaj founded this ashram in 1942. He is the President and Spiritual Head of Parmarth Niketan Ashram.
It is known to be the largest ashram in Rishikesh. It provides over 1000 rooms along with clean, pure and sacred atmosphere and also beautiful gardens to all the people that comes from all over the world.
Activities at Parmarth Niketan Ashram – Ashram in Rishikesh:
Yoga of various kinds like Vinyasa yoga, Hath yoga and Yoga Nidra are some of the day-to-day activities performed at this place.
Also, morning prayers and meditation classes, Satsang (gathering), kirtan, Ganga Aarti at sunset are organized which is attended by hundreds of visitors each day.
Moreover, Ayurvedic treatment also takes place at the ashram.
The ashram also has a 14 feet Lord Shiva statue on the banks of Ganga river. Also, there is a spiritual tree of Kalpavrishka planted at the premises of this ashram.
Various camps are organized by the ashram in which pilgrims from all over the world takes place. This camp includes yoga and meditation, Ayurveda treatment, acupressure, stress management, and other ancient Indian sciences.
Parmarth Niketan Ashram doesn’t discriminate on the basis of caste culture and race. So, anybody can visit at any time of the year and is open to all visitors.
