Raj ghat, a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi (the father of the nation) along with other notable people like Jawaharlal Nehru’s memorial (the forest of peace), K R Narayan, Lal Bahadur Shastri etc.

 

In addition, it is a black marble platform built at the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Raj Ghat is located near the banks of river Yamuna.

Furthermore. the easiest way to reach Raj Ghat is to take metro train to Pragati Maidan station. Also frequency of transportation like cars, buses or cabs is high so reaching to the memorial is not a trouble.

 

Not to mention, there is absolutely no entry fee for this memorial. No extra charges for the camera. You can visit from morning to evening on all days of the week.

 

Best time to visit between October and March.
